We wanted to develop an embedded device...
but it had to be available quick.
With the help of CER we could ship in a week !
We had an idea for a new tiny product and it had to be an embedded device(small electronic unit).
The quantity we expect to sell are intersting for us but are not that impressive in the embedded market and we didn't like potential high development costs.
Our consultant suggested to contact CER.
They advised us to use a standard embedded product, the EWS1700.
That embedded product contains a complete Embedded Windows XP version.
So hardware and operating system was available without development costs.
And because we could use Windows XP now, which was familiar for us because we already created a Visual Basic prototype on that platform,
it was only a small step to a complete working application.
And there were no disadvantages ?
Actually there is... the 24-hour test that CER executes on every product is now relatively long...
