FieldCommander supports many I/O and interface possibilities although most FieldCommander models don't support I/O on the device directly.
Instead FieldCommander supports communication with sensors and I/O modules.
To give you some idea:
In this group you find several analog or digital input and output possibilities.
FieldCommander can communicate with basic I/O interfaces, like
- NuDAM (6000 series) modules (manufacturer Adlink Technology Inc.)
- Adam (4000 series) modules (manufacturer Advantech Corp. Ltd.)
- 6B modules (manufacturer Analog Devices.)
- ICP-Con (7000 series) modules (manufacturer ICP-DAS Co. Ltd.)
- eDam (8000 series) modules (manufacturer Inlog Micro Systems Co. Ltd.)
- I-Dam (7000 series) modules (manufacturer Axiomtek. Co. Ltd.)
- Expert (9000 series) modules (manufacturer TopSCCC Ltd.)
- CB-COM (7000 series) modules (manufacturer Measurement Computing Corp.)

01B. Basis digitale/analoge I/O via het LAN-netwerk.
A FieldCommander can also be equipped with remote I/O-modules connected to your LAN (the computernetwork).
For this reason a FieldCommander supports communication with remote network modules called micro-FieldCommanders,
small modules, who link sensors or actors tot your system.
Several models of micro-FieldCommanders are available.
For more info: the micro-FieldCommanders.
FieldCommander supports (with option FCopt20) security systems in the Galaxy productfamiliy from company Ademco-Microtech(=Honeywell). So even burglar/fire detection can be linked with FieldCommander technology.
For more info: (FCopt020).
We have to split up the family of wireless identification sensors into:
- passive( proximity or mifare)
- active (for example Wavetrend RFID sensors)
Many types of RFID devices cooperate with FieldCommander.
Please let us know if you require detail info about the RFID links.

06. RS232/RS485 (ASCII-protocol) devices.
Many I/O devices are equipped with a RS232 or RS485 interface and have implemented a relative easy ASCII protocol.
FieldCommander has an 'universal ASCII frame converter' which is a great solution for these kind of devices.
With this converter linking an airco(hvac) or weight measurement equipment will be easy.
Also linking 1-wire or iButton sensors can easily be done this way.

A young wireless protocol. the IEEE802.15.4 (also referred to as ZigBee) is very potential in the building automation market and can be considered as a wireless RS485 communication protocol.
FieldCommander supports communication with these ZigBee devices.
For more info: (FCopt050).
09. RF/ZWave devices.
A young but already popular wireless protocol.
FieldCommander will soon also support communication with ZWave devices.
For more info: check the datasheet at (FCopt290).
or contact your sales representative.
10. RF/XComfort devices.
A young wireless protocol.
FieldCommander will soon support communication with XComfort devices.
For more info: please contact your sales representative.
11. TCP/IP.
FieldCommander is a webbased controller, supporting many different ways to communicate with TCP/IP devices like webcams.
12. USB devices.
USB, the Universal Serial Bus, has become quickly popular in the home or office environment. As a result many devices, like webcams or storage devices are available with a USB interface. Several application area's of the USB interface are already being implemented in the FieldCommander technology. Please contact your sales rep. for details.
13. Kadex domotica devices.
FieldCommander supports the Kadex domotica modules, like light switches and power control units.
For more info: (FCopt170).
14. SoIP Serial over IP.
FieldCommander supports also communication with Serial over IP compatible devices, like serial adaptors.
For more info: (FCopt210).
15. Audio messages.
Some FieldCommander models are equipped with an audio output.
An easy FieldCommander script command allows you to generate audio messages. This feature is helpful in many situations, like
automatically generating warning messages in a parking garage. No option is even required.
17. Interfacing fire extinguisher or pager-call system with ESPA.
FieldCommander supports the serial ESPA(4.4.4)-interface.
ESPA is already created several years ago and mostly available on fire detection systems and pager systems.
To be able to interace with a fire detection system, FieldCommander supports an ESPA-input
and for interfacing with a pager system a FieldCommander system can act as an ESPA-output.
